I bought a six pack of 9 volt batteries and they are supposed to last until 3-2016 but when I opened it up all were dead. So they do not last as long as they say.

9 volt constant use life

Our power went out for 18 hours and the clock battery did not keep time, how long should a 9 volt last if on continuously? It was only in the clock for 2 months before this happened.
Bought 6, 6-volt batteries a few months ago and now I need one and all are dead. supposed to last until 3-2016.

are the energizer 522 batteries equivalent to the eveready 522 batteries

I am trying to replace my smoke detective batteries and I can't seem to find any eveready one. on the back it says to use eveready 216, 522 or 1222 or equivalent. I came across energizer 522 so I was wondering if that will work. Please help.
